In cosmetic use, PRP or PRF is injected into the skin to stimulate collagen production and improve the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles, and scars. The growth factors in PRP and PFR can be used to help with dark circles under the eyes, hair growth and skin texture. PRP and PRF treatments are also being used to improve sexual function in both men and women.
